Customers Reviews 2010-08-31 The New Arthritis Breakthrough The book was a great deal, since the list price was $22.95 and it was a hardback edition. It did have some type of a light, coffee stain throughout most of the book, but it was in the right margin so it didn't affect the readability. For the cost of shipping however, I feel that it should've been shipped priority mail, not book rate.
Very informative book written about the history of antibiotic treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, and other related conditions, which I am using to decide whether or not to utitilize this therapy, for which my doctor has provided a prescription, and the Arthritis Foundation now lists in their pamphlet on medications for arthritis. | 2010-08-30 earning an alternate treatment for RA I found this book to be enlighting. I took it to my next visit with my Dr. and was pleased to find out that not only was he aware of this treatment but accecpted it. He did tell me that Mira is not without side effects stated in the book. Like anything else, you must be your own advocate and learn and question the treatment. My RA is mild and the treatment does not involve some of the meds mentioned in the book that are bad for you and if needed we will use more of the anti-biotic treatment.
| 2010-07-29 New Arthritis Breakthrough This is an excellent book and very specific and informative. It gives one hope that they just don't have to live with the pain and problems of rheumatoid arthritis. It also gives one information to take to doctors, many of whom seem to be clueless about how to treat this. | 2010-05-12 Saved my life!!!! I recently purchased this book on a recommendation from a doctor. I have severe fibromyalsia and he wanted me to read the book before I went through with the antibiotic IV treatments he offers. After reading this book, I was so excited. The book explains exactly why people with RA and fibro feel the way they do. I even cried when I read some of the stories from people because now I know they don't have to suffer the way they do. I decided to go through with the antibiotic IV treatments and 4 months later I am a completely new person. I have energy again and I feel SO MUCH BETTER! I am still on pain medication, but I have been able to go longer between doses and some days I don't have to take as many. I feel like I have my life back. After 14 years of having to lay down 2 times a day and some days not even being able to take a flight of stairs, I am so grateful for the treatments. Anyone out there suffering from the diseases listed in this book, please, please, please read this and go through with the treatments. You have nothing to loose and EVERYTHING to gain. Good luck and feel better! | 2010-05-11 It works. I read this book and found a doctor at Beth Israel in Boston who put me on minocycline in the hope that I would go into remission in 2 years. When I drove to the appointment to see him my RA pain was so bad I could barely grip the wheel and I literally could not lift my coffee cup with my right arm cuz my elbow hurt so bad (strangely, the only non-symmetrical pain I had). I had to reach over with other arm to lift it! I am now beginning my third year and am improved... Not CURED, but let me put it you this way: I don't cry every day anymore. That's HUGE. |

Find Out About The Dangers Associated With Dieting Dieting should have sensible basis otherwise it may do nothing but undermine and ruin your health. There are some dangers associated with dieting.
Danger 1 - on my own
The habit always to rely upon oneself is not the appropriate tactics in dieting. Fattiness like any other diseases should be treated under the strict doctor’s control. Every one is unique and needs certain and specific approach. Someone may be stout but have a good health someone may have few “extra kilos” which will intermix with serious diseases. So you should be completely aware of your current state. Work, life style, surroundings, living conditions and even climate should be taken in account when choosing a diet.
Danger 2 - on the buckwheat
There are several dieting myths: you should eat meat, you should eat once or twice a day, it’s useful to eat only buckwheat or apple pines for example. Each product is wholesome for sure but only in the combination with other useful products. And if you decided to keep to a “one-side” diet you merely deprive yourself of necessary and vital elements.
The greatest problems may cause incredible protein decrease, especially animal protein which can not be substituted by soy or legumes protein. Animal protein is the base for ferments and hormones production. In case you reduce protein consumption the reproductive function gets worse and the blood formula changes.
Another danger is the lack of calcium which we usually get of the diary products. This element is absolutely necessary especially for the young organism which bones are still in the process of formation.
The variety of food is the main point of the right diet. Remember you may eat everything but with the sense of measure. Fish, vegetables and fruits are irreplaceable products and should “find place” in your diet however.
Danger 3 – only diet
If you really want to loose weight and not to regain it you’d better thing about dieting and physical loading as separate things but work out the plan of healthy life style. It may include the food we eat, the way we spend our free time, sleep and whatever. The main tendency today is square meals and minimum of physical exercise. The quantity of energy we receive should not exceed the quantity we consume.
The simplest recommendations are to eat divisionally – every 3 or 4 hours in little quantities, not to eat before going to bed.
Danger 4- food is my best friend
The other stumbling block is to compensate stress depression by eating sweets and chocolates. Some times in such situations a person may eat even when he is not hungry.
Remember everything is in your own hands. |
