This book is amazing I tried it in Florida while on vacation this summer.
I lost a pund a day for two weeks.Then I bought the book from amazon.com before I left and it was there when I got home.
I have stay with the guidelines of the book and have now lost 22 lbs.
I would recommend this book to anyone who has tried everything to lose weight but failed or gain it back.

Not a Diet
As the authors state, this is not a diet but "part of a lifelong healthy lifestyle."
The book states loosing weight works with a meat, vegetables and protein beginning, and then progressing to a complete
diet by adding whole grains. No wonder this book is so popular. Patients and medical providers both will benefit from this book. It is also a great addition to real health care reform. Medical providers should always be included in these important issues.

It worked for me
I don't need to add much to what's already been written about this book, except that after the first two challenging weeks, I settled in and have lost 25 lbs. in 5 mos. I'm sticking with it for life. This is not a diet, per se, but simply eating healthy. I recommend it to anyone who asks.

South Beach Diet
My wife have found this is a very "sane" diet. The author does an excellent job in explaining the "why's" of what he is recommending. Stage 1 is a two week event, and just the right length of time. We are currently in Stage 2, and the expanded menu works fine for us for the most part. I still crave pasta and pizza, however, I know I should avoid these foods at this time. We are still losing weight. I have lost 15 lbs and my wife has lost 12 lbs. We are planning on continuing on the diet until we reach our target weight.
