Though man may live for several weeks without food he will undoubtedly die without water in few days. And this is rather clear for the man’s body consists of the water by 70%.

Water is the most important element in any diet. There is a great number of liquid in human’s body: blood, lymth, saliva, cerebrospinal fluid, digestive juice, etc. All these liquids run in arteries, veins, minute vessels transporting nutrient materials to the cells and watering out wastes. Liquid fills the cells and the space between them, preserving tela from injury.

Water is necessary for numerous chemical reactions which take place in our organism. It dissolves vitamins, minerals and other nutrient materials. It also regulates body temperature: dieing with sweat it cools the body and help to keep the temperature in a certain range.

A grown–up person needs 1.0 or 1.5l of water per day. Milk, fruit juices, mineral drinks are the best sources of water. Caffeine containing drinks do not help to provide necessary quantity of liquid. Caffeine is an emictory which cause fast water excretion.

One of the main water functions is to keep tela liquid balance, provided by electrolytes: natrium, calcium and chlorine. They determine the quantity of liquid to be in the cell and out of it. In case the electrolytes balance is broken the cells will undergo either hydrops or dewatering both of which are equally dangerous.

That’s why it’s so important not to forget about drinking during the diet, not to limit its consumption but visa versa to drink as much as possible helping your organism to cope with overloads.

Entering the dieting system you should remember a simple rule – drinking should come before meals and not visa versa. It’s worth drinking a glass of water for 15 minutes before breakfast, dinner or supper.

Try not to drink water directly from the tap, use filters. And it’s even better to buy some water from the sources. You may add some lemon juice to water. First of all it’s an excellent source of vitamin C and moreover it contributes to digestion improving and depletion. A glass of water with lemon juice every morning during the diet and you’ll feel refreshed, light and forceful. Other juices in various proportions with water are good as well. It occurs sometimes that juices as they are may cause too strong organism reaction, and being watered down they bring vitamins and have softer effect. So remember drinking water and dieting can not go separately.
